Ten thousand fools proclaim themselves into obscurity, while one wise man forgets himself into immortality.

"I submit that an individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law."

"Nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral questions of our time; the need for mankind to overcome oppression and violence without resorting to oppression and violence. Mankind must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love."

~Martin Luther King Jr.

What a brilliant and beautiful man he was.
It isn't that he's gone that I find heartbreaking, it's the fact that mankind is so incompetant and morally bankrupt that any part of it could hate a man like that, that's what breaks my heart.

Have you ever heard the song Nina Simone did for him?

I agree. And no I haven't heard the song - I'll have to look it up.

And thanks for stopping by too.
